Logo suite, social media posts, interactive digital program

When conceptualizing restorative justice, we must often balance the acknowledgement and analysis of harm with a hopeful, imaginative vision for the future. The logo mark itself is an amalgam of several guiding images: the scales of justice, the Indigenous medicine wheel, and the fluidity of water.

The scales of justice are represented in the two semicircles, positioned one on top of the other and skewed to represent both the imbalance of our justice system and the outside-the-box thinking required for change.

The semicircles can also represent a broken medicine wheel, evoking the brokenness of a punitive justice system that fails to respect dignity and well-being.

Finally, the colours within the semicircles are a gradient that bleeds and melts together. Their water-like intermingling represents our interconnectivity; though broken in two halves, through innovation we can be inspired to restore the balance of our fundamental humanity.

The positive, forward-thinking ethos of this colour gradient is represented throughout the branding, including in the letterhead and the social media posts. This versatile logo has various iterations allowing it to be used in many different capacities.
